W1 Workshops began after hearing several reports from students of overpriced and under-detailed workshops they had attended. It got us thinking that it must be possible to offer performance workshops that cover everything a student could wish for yet offer them this at a fantastically affordable price. And so it was! What’s more, we could do this with an unrivaled level of detail, truth, inspiration and individual attention. It’s incredibly rewarding watching our students grow in confidence and ability with each successive workshop.

As well as the above we have many more wonderful guests who are all fantastic at their craft and happy to pass on their years of experience.

W1 Workshops prides itself on being an affordable workshop company understanding the struggles actors/students have on all stages of their journeys.

We offer a unique and quality style of teaching, always striving for truthfulness. We give individual care and attention to all our students to draw out their true potential and believe this sets us apart from any other workshops held in London.

W1 Workshops are performance technique workshops run by professional working actors, founded by Nancy Sullivan (The Stage Edinburgh Award winner) and David Thaxton (Olivier Award Winner).

W1WORKSHOPS offer something truly unique: a focussed, devoted workshop that is responsive to every actor that attends. Incredible value.

I am working professionally in the industry. I wouldn't be doing this without them. It has been the most wonderful journey with W1 Workshops. I haven't found anywhere else that lives up to W1.

W1WORKSHOPS are the leading performance workshop company in London, offering regular and varied classes with no annual or termly sign-up fees. We provide top-level professional performance training, giving you the opportunity to exercise your skills as and when you feel you need it. For some students these are one-off workshops, for others it’s an ongoing and personal process.

W1 caters for you as an actor wherever you are at on your journey, we work with actors who are currently in shows wanting to brush up on other skills, those who have left drama school and feel like they want a support network and to continue their training and those who have been out of the industry for a while wanting to dip their toe back in.

W1 attendees have found a great network of inspiration and support through our courses through the tutors and each other.

Wherever you are at we get to you know you as an individual and cater for you!

For those looking to get into drama school we have seen students gain places at institutions such as LSMT, Mountview, Rose Bruford, Trinity and Guilford.

We regularly see our students gain professional credits and representation from agencies. Several of our students are now working on West End shows such as Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!, The National Theatre’s production of Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nightime and many others have gained or changed agent representation and advanced their careers through meeting and working with with leading directors and casting directors.
